I attended Dr. John’s class this afternoon on the methodology of Cost-Effectiveness studies. Our thesis is not exactly a cost-effectiveness study, but I thought it would be relevant for my minoring. At the end of the lecture, my blockmates started to ask about the “formalities”. When is the proposal defense? Are we going to be graded? What will happen if we screw up during the defense? And damn, the consequences of screwing up are really nasty!
This means that I should start taking thesis more seriously! It’s not like I haven’t been working or anything. It’s just that until now, I’m not yet in full career mode when apparently, I should have been ages ago! I’m scared half-to-death:
- To be caught unprepared during the defense.
- To disappoint our thesis adviser (Dr. Yap has been very helpful and supportive, and I guess we really owe her a good thesis.)
- To disappoint my groupmates (Mikeness, KPlish and Keeshness are the best groupmates ever!)
- Not to get funding! o_O
It’s time to work, work, and work. Must put self in career mode from now on!
